Yachtmaster, sailing instructor, LRC operator


Boarded his first sailboat at the age of fourteen as a part of the 3rd Marine Scouts Team in Starogard Gdański. Learned to sail on Lake Kałębie and on the Puck and Gdańsk Bays. Subsequent marine voyages under meticulous skippers paved his rapid way to successive sailing and instructor endorsements.

Professional officer and university teacher; since 1990, staff member of the Naval Academy, where his duties include the sailing instruction of students. An instructor of the integrated STCW (International Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping) course, he runs marine search and rescue classes.

Sports interests and his love of active lifestyle led him to an extra post-graduate degree at the Academy of Physical Education and Sport in Gdańsk, and instructor licences in a number of other disciplines.

Polish Armed Forces representative in sailing for a number of years. Participant of numerous civil and military European Championships and winner of European champion and vice-champion titles. Two-times Military World Games (MWG) participant. Bronze medal winner at the MWG 2011, Rio de Janeiro.

Winner of the Riga to Świnoujście race with his crew of Naval Academy students during The Tall Ships Races 2013, in Class C and overall. Multiple regatta participation apart, he also operates offshore voyages.

Avid sailor, skier, and MTB cyclist.

He describes himself as “a happy man – my job is my hobby”.
